January 2007 - During our most recent trip we had an
unexpected rescue take place. Word traveled from village to
village finally reaching our compound that 7-10 orphans were
staying in the bush with no one to care for them. They were afraid
to come out in fear of the LRA, the Lord's Resistance Army, who
had recently attacked their village. We went in right away to
save most of the children. But, which many times happens, several
were not healthy enough to make the trip and we had to leave them
behind.
